AGRICULTURE.
Chair: Nick Ward - Ward Laboratories
Meeting Schedule: 3rd Thursday, every other month, at noon
The Agriculture Committee aims to provide and support programs that promote agriculture and encourage urban/rural cooperation. Some of the Agriculture Committee's programs are currently tied to the Nebraska Cattlemen's Classic, Gateway Farm Expo, Buffalo County 4-H, Nebraska Livestock Judging Classic, and educational meetings.
This committee is open to all Kearney Area Chamber Members. Other Partners in our Agriculture Team include Gateway Farm Expo, Nebraska Cattlemen's Classic, and 4-H Auction Committee.

Meeting Schedule: 1st Thursday of each month at 4:00 p.m.
The Business & Education Committee's purpose is to advance opportunities for small businesses, promote diversity, and educate members about current trends and technologies. This group will also work to connect students with business and educational opportunities to equip and develop future leaders. This group also assists with the Junior Achievement program.
This committee is open to all Kearney Chamber Members.

The Kearney Hospitality & Events Group's purpose is to increase the number of visitors to Kearney by marketing retail and tourism opportunities for conventions, festivals, and special events.
The Kearney Hospitality & Events Group does this by assisting other Chamber Committees with facilitating marketing communication in the Kearney area and providing input to the Kearney Visitor’s Bureau. This committee is open to all Kearney Chamber Members.

The purpose of our LEADS Groups is to create a close-knit networking group of professionals in the area to create increased business and revenue. LEADS is mainly for professionals that rely on referrals (or leads). There is only one individual from any particular industry in each group so there is no overlapping.
The group meets bi-weekly and gets to know each other and each other's services very well with the intention being that any given individual in the group would feel comfortable referring a client, friend, or family member to any other given individual in the group. The purpose of the Legislative Committee is to monitor and initiate appropriate action on legislative matters that may impact the Kearney Area. The Legislative Committee does this by keeping chamber members aware of local, state, and national political issues. This committee is open to all Kearney Chamber Members.
