The Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce its newest Chamber Committee, the Digital Marketing Club!
Digital Marketing Club (DMC) aims to educate, collaborate and communicate marketing literacy and strategies to improve the awareness and capability of every business. Our monthly meetings will feature different learning and networking opportunities for all of our members, with our key meetings being: Breakfast Bytes (Morning Session), Learn Over Lunch "LOL" (Lunch Session), Hoppy Hour (Afternoon Session). Times and locations will change month to month, so to keep on top of what's happening visit our DMC page on the Chamber's Website or join our group on Facebook!
Our Facebook group will share free digital marketing learning opportunities, articles and helpful documents. We encourage our members to interact with each other on the group page by sharing similar information or asking any questions they have or new tips/tricks they have learned. Another great tool is to follow us on Twitter for meeting times/locations and additional marketing resources, as well as Instagram for just some pretty pictures to make your day better.
We are kicking our first meeting off on Tuesday, August 14th from 8:30 - 9:30 at The Rustic Patch located at 2110 Central Ave. Join us to learn about who you can "Look BIG Online When You're Really Small," presented by Amanda Polacek from Ma'am Marketing. To RSVP to this event visit our Event on the DMC page.

Program Overview:
We've all heard before "Content is Key" when developing an effective social media presence and attracting your ideal customers/clients. But how can you possibly manage to pump out four tweets a day, one beautifully styled Instagram posts, a 30-minute Facebook Live and newsletter all at the same time?
As a small business owner and consultant, Amanda Polacek knows first-hand how difficult it can be to stay on top of social media while building a business. In this presentation she will break down the exact strategy and system she uses for herself and for her clients to create planned, purposeful and yes, even pretty content using free apps and tools.
About Our Speaker:

Amanda got her start in advertising as an intern at Bailey Lauerman as a sophomore at UNL. Between refilling coffee pots and getting the mail, she snuck in creative ways to observe the different departments and eventually discovered the perfect career category for her half-left-brained, half-right-brained persona: project management. At just 19-years-old Amanda began working directly with clients and managing creative teams. She went on to become the agency's Digital Project Manager and upon graduation joined a former colleague at 42 (later acquired by Firespring) as an Account Manager.
Amanda has most recently served as the Marketing Director for the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce and there found her true passion of helping small business owners and entrepreneurs succeed with simple and smart marketing and communications strategies. That passion led her to start her own marketing consulting business when she, her husband and now 2-year-old daughter moved back home to Kearney in 2017 to be closer to family.
