Thursday, August 8th, the Envoys volunteered in partnership with Buffalo County Community Partners, Farm Bureau, Farm Credit Services of America, Buffalo County Extension, and Region 3 Behavioral Health Services to host Neighbor to Neighbor Tailgates at their Kearney location. This event's purpose was to bring agriculture related businesses and stakeholders, who are partnered with local mental health support resources, to the doorstep of local farm families. It is about learning to watch for warning signs of suicide and learn of local resources-- neighbors helping neighbors!
This event visited several communities in our county-- each on a different evening, and served a meal while presenting a program. On August 5th they visited Pleasanton, August 6th-Ravenna, August 7th-Shelton, August 8th-Kearney, August 9th-Elm Creek, August 12th-Gibbon, and August 13th-Amherst.
