NEW SCHOOL YEAR BRINGS NEW TEACHERS!

We had an amazing response from Chamber members with all the donations for our New Teacher bags! Every year, the Business & Education Committee of the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce collects donations from its members as welcoming gifts for all the newly hired teachers in our area.

Thanks to our incredible volunteers, Clint Edwards, Mark Liljehorn, Julie Thomson and her son Hank Thomson, Cassie Kvasnicka, Kale Gideon, Crystal Cunningham, and Kristi Gargan, all of the bags were assembled and delivered in just a couple hours! With 92 new educators in the community, they sure had their work cut out for them! Congratulations Kearney Public Schools, Central Community College, University of Nebraska at Kearney, Zion Lutheran School, Faith Christian School, and Kearney Catholic School on their new recruits for the 2024 - 2025 school year!
