NEW TEACHER BAGS

The Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce Business & Education Committee is welcoming 80 new Kearney area teachers by distributing teacher gift bags.

Chamber members were invited to introduce their businesses to new teachers by donating items to fill the bags. The Chamber received a variety of items such as stylus pens, notepads, granola bars, koozies, gift cards, headphones, thermal bags, and so much more! We are excited to help the new teachers get to know our members and are grateful for the help from our Business & Education Committee volunteers: Angela Smith of Kearney Works, Jason Mundorf of Kearney Public Schools, and Mark Liljehorn of Legacy Outdoor.

Special recognition of thanks to our bag sponsors this year. First National Bank of Omaha contributed 80 large thermal zipper bags for all the new educators. These bags were of great quality and size and were perfect for holding all the amazing donations.
