On Wednesday, October 9th, Bruning Bank hosted their Ribbon Cutting at their new location: 1110 17th Avenue!
Bruning Bank was founded in 1891 near Bruning, Nebraska under the name German Bank. A year later, a group of nine investors bought interest in the bank and watched the bank prosper. After World War I, the name officially changed to Bruning State Bank. Since then, Bruning Bank has expanded into a wider area of Nebraska to better serve their diverse customer base in addition of the Holdrege Branch in 2009 and the Kearney Branch in 2015.
In the Kearney Branch, the next generation of the Bruning family continues the banking tradition. Representing the fourth generation of Bruning family bankers, Fred D. Bruning continues to contribute his experience by serving as a Director and President of Bruning Bancshares, Inc., the holding company of Bruning Bank.
For over 125 years, Bruning Bank has been known for its strength and stability. With dedicated customer service, Bruning Bank strives to be a trusted financial partner in the community. By staying true to their mission and maintaining a strong capital position, they are the bank customers can depend on for keeping assets secure.
