The Senior Coalition enjoyed their informative tour of the new Gail & Michael Yanney Pavilion, given by Director of Recreation Services, Scott Hayden. The venue overlooks the Yanney Park Gardens and features a large event room, audio and visual equipment, a catering kitchen, a dressing and make-up room, and a wrap-around patio and greenspace.
This pavilion includes the Burlington Green Courtyard which is 100' x 150' or 15,000 square feet. There are 113 parking stalls; seven of which are ADA stalls and two others are for catering accessibility. The event room includes 16 round tables that seat 8, and 6 additional rectangle tables that seat up to 18. The room comfortably seats 152, but supplies 160 chairs. Two screens drop down to provide wireless projector capabilities, along with a wireless lapel microphone. The catering kitchen is equipped with two heated holding cabinets, fridge/freezer, ice maker, microwave, large 3-compartment sink for dish cleaning and disposal, work counters area, coffee machine, and serving counter for convenience. The changing room includes four lighted make-up mirrors, chairs, and counter area. There is also a fire pit in the patio area that can be used for ambience only. The artwork inside the pavilion includes two chandeliers and paintings from Dale Chihuly. The facility can be used for various events.
